What does my dream mean?
My family & I were camping. A lynx attacked my husband, jumping from higher ground onto him. I saw the cat and happened to have a carving knife in my hand (I was preparing dinner), so I threw it at the creature.
I missed, and the knife richocetted back and embedded into my husband’s thigh.
I can’t choose a good answer, all of them are relevant, even the funny ones! I will leave it up to a vote. Thank you for participating. Any dream that I have with a predator in it wakes me up, or I start to dream it over and over to get it right. So it stuck in my mind. Also there was the territory of the cat in the dream, which I didn’t mention because I forgot. We were just inside the cat’s territory. If we were 10 feet farther to one side, he wouldn’t have bothered us. I thought of that later and wondered if that was significant. Thank you all for your wonderful answers. It really helped.

generally your dreams mean the opposite of what is going on. u need to examine what could represent the cat and the knife.and see what is going on in your life with you and your husband that could be relivent.there are plenty of dream books out there.hope it helps

without knowing you better and assuming you woke up and this is the complete dream this is only a guess. The camping could be that your brain was searching for some tranquility, the calmness of the woods, the lynx attacking your husband from higher ground could be how your brain perceives the pressures in his life, or work. How was you day, it was a real bear, or that boss I work for is a real tiger, etc… another guess is maybe your husband likes to sneak up on you in the kitchen and scare you, so your brain is getting him back, the knife and throwing it is a sign of your wife/mother feelings of protecting your family. the knife embedding into your husbands thigh maybe you have some anger issues with your husband. There are two schools of thought on dreams, one is they all have deep meaning and you should pay close attention, the other is that dreams are your sub conscious going out to play. dreaming is about expression of the feelings trapped in the sub concious.. i would say that u percieve a great danger( perhaps false.. but it is all the perception) coming to your husband and u r being protective, however, u seem to feel that u are not up to the mark or that u are failing him…

it means something a bit devistating is going to happen to your husband. and although you try to help him you’ll end up making it worse b/c your own luck is down. Husbands and wives are linked as well as parents and children so its not unusal for you to dream a/b his fate as well as your own.

okay are you ready for the real answer and not all that stupid crap!! Cats in dreams usely mean betrayal, this (a cat) is the number one symbol of betrayal!! Knife is another symbol of betrayal or to harm. Now you say that it hit your husband in the thigh right?!!? Well you need to not blame you husband for anything strange thats fixing to happen to you!! This dream is telling you of a nearby person that will betray you. But the knife mistakenly hitting you husband in the thigh is to warn you to NOT harm (verbally) him!!

this doesnt sound promosing. there are issues with your husband. if he is in trouble or needs your help maybe you are going about it the wrong way. try and do things a different way. it looks like you arent helping him. be supportive another way.
